| Bananiversary Celebration Wrap-Up: C.C. Banana Reunites with C.C. DeVille! |
 C.C. Banana attempts to stop the paparazzi from snapping his picture, while his personal security guard stands idly by. Hey, wait a minute... that's no security guard! That's C.C. DeVille in disguise! Just what we need, another wacko named C.C. dressed in yellow and wearing tacky sunglasses. |
| Alas, the Bananiversary Celebration has reached its bittersweet conclusion! |
| Over the past month or so, I've racked up a total of 4 rock star interviews, 5 newspaper features dedicated to yours truly and about a half-dozen radio and podcast appearances (with a few more still pending). I also made a live concert appearance opening for Quiet Riot and phoned in to Eddie Trunk's Friday Night Rocks radio program! My yellow odyssey finally came full circle this past week at the area Poison concerts, thanks to an unexpected reunion with C.C. DeVille himself (who thankfully didn't seem to mind the fact that I'm still milking this gimmick 5 years later). What a perfect way to cap off my Bananiversary Celebration, eh? |
| All in all, it's been a thoroughly exhausting yet immensely rewarding experience and I am grateful that so many thousands of you have checked in along the way. It's also gratifying to know that more people than ever are becoming hip to whatever the hell it is I'm supposedly famous for! This coming Sunday, July 30th I'll be calling in to the legendary KNAC and chatting it up with the one and only DJ Will! | My first live appearance of this month's Bananiversary Celebration will take place this coming Monday, July 17th. The legendary Quiet Riot has graciously allowed me to play host during their appearance at Jenkinson's Pavilion in Point Pleasant, NJ. Though I'm still finalizing the details of the event, as ever I promise not to disappoint. Then again, I'm fairly certain that Quiet Riot themselves will have that angle covered as well! |

| We recently received the following e-mail from our 2003 Sludgeaholic of the Year, C.C. Banana. It seems that this month the Banana will celebrate 5 years of doing... well, whatever the hell it is he does. We're still not quite sure how to describe it. |
| For that matter, has it really been 5 whole years since we ran our account of him stalking C.C. DeVille around a Poison concert? Man, time sure flies when you're always drunk! | You'll notice that the very last sentence of the article said the following: |

| Talk about an understatement! At most, we figured maybe he'd be back to bother Poison again the following summer (which he did). We honestly had no idea he'd find a way to keep milking this idea for years and years to come. Since then C.C. Banana has gotten smacked around by Sebastian Bach for wearing our T-shirt, written a tour diary about his experiences hosting our first Metal Sludge Extravaganza Tour and released his very own home video. He's also conducted a boatload of cool interviews for us, including Jani Lane, Phil Lewis, Steve Riley, Kevin Dubrow, Jizzy Pearl, John Corabi, Eric Brittingham, Fred Coury and a bunch of other people. He even slipped a one-liner past George Lucas and interviewed Blackie Lawless' mic stand! Who knew one retarded gimmick could be taken so far? |

| Hard though it may be to believe, it's been 5 full years since rock & roll comic C.C. Banana was set loose upon an unsuspecting scene. On the fateful afternoon of July 6, 2001 an ordinary man gave way to become an extraordinary fruit. Donning a tattered old banana costume and inexplicably choosing to lampoon Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille, the newly christened C.C. Banana would soon make fast friends with the hard rock elite. This July, C.C. Banana commemorates 5 years of rock & roll irreverence with the appropriately named Bananiversary Celebration, a 5-star salute to the fabulous fruit. Throughout the month-long event, C.C. will issue a series of new interviews with some of his favorite hard rock heroes, the identities of whom are being withheld until publication. Additionally, the official C.C. Banana website has been updated with dozens of new and archived features, including interviews with the members of Cinderella, Ratt, Quiet Riot, FireHouse, Warrant, L.A. Guns, W.A.S.P. and Metal Church. To further commemorate this personal milestone, C.C. Banana has arranged a string of live, radio and podcast appearances, details of which can be found in his weblog.
